Representative Civil Litigation Cases

Real Estate Contract Dispute (Pierce County Superior Court, 2012):  Represented Plaintiffs in a lawsuit regarding the real estate contract for their family home. The Defendants alleged that our clients had defaulted on the real estate contract, and that they would lose their home as a result. We filed a lawsuit in the Pierce County Superior Court for breach of contract and undue influence, and prevailed in the action. The real estate contract for our client's family home was reformed, allowing our clients to keep their home without any negative consequences.

Consumer Protection Action (Pierce County Superior Court, 2011):  Our firm represented the Plaintiffs in a lawsuit regarding negligent automotive repairs by the franchisee of a national auto repair shop. As the result of the Defendant's negligent repairs, our clients suffered several thousand dollars of damage to their vehicle, and lost the use of their vehicle for many months. We filed a lawsuit in the Pierce County Superior Court for violation of the Consumer Protection Act, violation of the Automotive Repair Act, negligence, and breach of contract. The Defendant was represented by a large Seattle law firm. We prevailed in the action, and our clients were fully compensated for their property damage, lost use of property, and attorney fees.

Business and Employment Dispute (Pierce County Superior Court, 2010):  We represented the owner of a small business in a lawsuit filed by our client's previous employer. After our client left his previous employer and started his own business, his previous employer sued him and alleged that our client had violated the Uniform Trade Secrets Act and was engaging in unfair business competition. The previous employer demanded that our client shut down his business. We successfully defended our client, and got the lawsuit dismissed within 3 months of our appearance on the case.

Probate Litigation Matter (Kitsap County Superior Court, 2010):  Our firm represented the heirs (decedent's daughters) in a probate case where the decedent's ex-wife managed to get herself appointed as the Personal Representative of the estate. We filed a motion to remove the decedent's ex-wife as Personal Representative of the estate, which the decedent's ex-wife and her attorney contested. We prevailed in court, and got the ex-wife removed as Personal Representative of the estate. This allowed a new Personal Representative to be appointed, who successfully completed the probate process.
